Digital Repository Infrastructure Vision for European Research

Toward a European network of institutional archives.

The DRIVER Project was launched in June 2006 within the EU Sixth Framework Program. The objective of the project is to create a European Infrastructure federating existing national repository initiatives. CNRS is the French partner of the project through the HAL repository platform developed by its Center for Direct Scientific Communication (Centre pour la communication scientifique directe - CCSD).

INIST-CNRS already involved in the promotion of open access to scientific knowledge will also promote submission of scientific content to HAL.
